[Military commission certificate for Joseph Barrett, 1732 March 6].

Commission appointing Joseph Barrett Captain Lieutenant of the Foot Company of Concord, Mass. in the regiment of militia commanded by Col. John Flynt. The document, a partially printed form completed by hand, is signed by J[osiah] Willard, Secry, and Governor Jonathan Belcher.

In 1737 George II appointed a commission to settle the boundary conflict between Massachusetts Bay and New Hampshire.
